Thank you for your interest in Tommy's Pregnancy Accreditation Programme.

To apply you will need to complete the application form and collect documentary evidence of your company's qualification according to the accreditation criteria. Click here to download a copy of the application form.



 
 
  1. Provide all legally required information to their pregnant employees and undertake all legally required duties, in accordance with current UK maternity law.
  2. All pregnant employees must be encouraged to attend their antenatal appointments.
  3. Risk assessments must be carried out for every pregnant employee upon notification of their pregnancy.
  4. A smoke free working environment must be provided.
  5. Rest and relaxation places for pregnant women must be provided. (Please note it is not necessary to provide a separate room. Existing staff rooms, canteens or other areas can be used as long as the area is smoke free. What is important is that pregnant women have a place they can rest away from their desk).
  6. All pregnant employees must be provided with a copy of Tommy's Guide to a working pregnancy: for employees.
  7. All line managers of pregnant employees must be provided with a copy of Tommy's guide to a working pregnancy: for managers.
  
 



 
    Current Maternity Policy.

  Managers Handbook / copies of literature given to line managers to explain maternity policy.

  Copies of any leaflets regarding pregnancy, pregnancy health and maternity provisions that your company distributes to pregnant employees.

  Any relevant induction materials given to new employees.

Your application will then be put forward to our accreditation panel and we will respond to you within 28 days to let you know if your application has been approved, and if not, what you can do in order to make a successful application.
